재즈 팬으로 좀 실망스러운 음반선정이지만, 눈여겨 봐둘만한 음반들이다. 100위 안에 재즈 음반은 존 콜트레인과 마일즈 데이비스 이외에도 뽑힐 만한 음반들이 쟁쟁하다. 잡지의 성향이나 편집자들의 취향이 많이 반영되어 락앤록이 다수다. 그리고 한국인에게 좀 생소한 음반들도 있다. 원문을 타고가면 500개의 음반을 만날 수 있다. 각 음반에 대한 음반평이 있으니 참고하면서 들어보자.

롤링스톤지에서 2005년에 발간한 500 Greatest Albums of All Times에 실린 명반 목록이다. 나중에 이 책을 구해서 몇명이 어떤 기준으로 명반을 뽑았는지 살펴봐야겠다.
